RESOURCES FOR SOUNDTRAP

GREAT FOR REMOTE LEARNING!

Trap Lesson Banners_STYLE SERIS COVER TES.png

This series of lessons is based on Google Forms and Soundtrap. Students follow lessons on google forms and carry out various composition and production processes in Soundtrap. The lessons incorporate bespoke original backing tracks, bespoke instrument sounds and embedded how to video guides alongside rigorous self and teacher assessment.

Students are guided through composing one musical element at a time, working to a backing track to ensure a musically satisfying experience, building up their ideas before arranging them into a final track. We have aimed to cover not just the technical processes but also the music theory and contextual understanding of Trap music,

We’ve tested this extensively in the classroom and want to share with everyone during these difficult times.

Lessons are approximately an hour long but can be saved and returned to if needed.

Even if your institution doesn’t use Soundtrap you can sign up for a 30 day free educational trial here and use all of the resources:

https://www.soundtrap.com/pricing-education/consumer

This would be especially suitable for the free composition element of all the GCSE syllabuses but could equally be used by KS3 classes.
